In 2011 the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations,  Doctor in Historical Sciences, Professor Gegham Petrosyan presented his work “The Relations of the Republic of Armenia with Russia (1918-1920)”. According to G. Petrosyan the main goal of the work was the presentation of relations between the First Republic of Armenia and Soviet Russia as well as between non-Soviet Russian state units and the objective presentation of the history of the period. It should be noted, that G. Petrosyan is the only author who comprehensively spoke about this theme in his book. Achieve materials served as a base for the work and most of them are presented to the reader for the first time. The formation of negative opinion about Armenia as a result of Azerbaijani-Turkish falsification was touched upon in this book as well.

In 2012 the book was published in Russian. The main goal in this case was to present the reality not only to Armenian speaking but also Russian and other language speaking representatives, particularly to historians, international affairs expert, diplomats, politicians, etc.   The difficulties concerning the establishment of relations, complicated historical period and political events are also examined in the book.

The book is quite necessary for understanding the gaps occurred during 1918-1920 in Armenian-Russian relations and perceiving them in the context of modern period.
